Looks Leads Lifestyle started a book club! We hope you will join us. Our first book was Carrie Gress book Anti-Mary. Rather than Anti-Christ, this book was about secular culture crusades against Mary and Catholic doctrine on women via Communism and casual sex. As a history lover, Gress dive into European Anti-Catholic, pro-Communism hysteria over 100 years ago mirrors the current social movement in the US--proving up the cliches that history repeats, is the greatest teacher, and the best spoiler alert. Historical spoiler alert: Communism did not begin or end well in Europe. Gress tackled Fatima and other Catholic ideas such as First Fridays for Sacred Heart and Saturdays for Immaculate Heart of Mary starkly aand shockingly along side the atheist orgies of 1970s feminists and lack of decorum in modern day feminists. We enjoyed readings on Mary, mother of God/Jesus, her beauty and her pain, and the prayers to finish the book! This book brought up a lot of discussion and allowed us to discuss Catholic ideas and customs.
